The Commons on Champa Update

Fall 2023

After our first 8 years of serving Denver’s entrepreneurship ecosystem, the Commons on Champa is evolving to better serve our community of entrepreneurs, startups, and innovators. Thanks to your support, we have been able to help tens of thousands of entrepreneurs start and grow their businesses through the space, programs and community we have built together. We remain deeply committed to supporting the entrepreneurial community in Downtown Denver and have evolved the Commons model to ensure that the best partners are continuing to provide this much-needed resource to our community.

Evolution and Resources

In partnership with the City and County of Denver, Denver Economic Development and Opportunity (DEDO), and Denver Arts & Venues, the Downtown Denver Partnership will transition the management of the Commons on Champa building at 1245 Champa St. to our partners at the City and County of Denver. The space will remain open to the community with coworking, low barrier to entry event space rentals, and conference room reservations all available through Denver Arts & Venues.

Maintaining a thriving ecosystem provides a launchpad for startups to grow, for entrepreneurs to network, and for innovators to find inspiration and turn their ideas into reality. To that end, the programs and resources that have been housed at the Commons will continue to be offered through the following entities:

  • The Commons on Champa Building: Free co-working is still available and open to the public on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9AM-5PM. Walk-ins are welcome; however, space is not guaranteed if the venue is booked for a private event, or if all the co-working spaces are occupied. To reserve community event space or conference rooms for events, meetings or receptions, please visit https://www.artsandvenuesdenver.com/events/booking/commons-on-champa/.

  • Entrepreneurship Programs (CO.STARTERS, Denver Startup Week, Popup Denver, 16th Street Kiosk Vending program and more): Please visit the Downtown Denver Partnership website.

Without you, our community, none of the progress we have made over the past 8 years would be possible. Please know that while we transition away from day-to-day management of the space, our commitment to this community remains strong. We are committed to building a vibrant, inclusive economy in downtown Denver alongside our partners.
Thank you for your role in our entrepreneurial ecosystem!
